MERCURY CIRCLE, born as a brainchild in 2018 by Iconcrash’s and Swallow the Sun’s Jaani Peuhu, offers dark rock infused with electrifying synth wave and slow, epic doom. Truly a genre of its own, the band is establishing their very own kind of “New Doom” – think “Sisters Of Mercy and The Cult shaking hands with Depeche Mode and Cathedral”. Susurro released new single
German Death/Thrash Metal band Susurro released their new single «Old Story». The release was recorded in “AKS Studios”, and mixed/mastered by Andy Lux.
Susurro was formed in 2019 at Allmersbach, Germany by Jack Skaner (vocals/guitar). Soon after Mr. Six-Ell (bass) and Winzent Walace (guitars/keyboard) joined the band and the lineup was completed. The band’s debut album “Erratic” was released in January 2022.

The well-rated album “Scar of a War” received its first swallow in the form of an elaborate lyric video. His work was performed by Woll Design and, as always, there is something to look at. Animations that complement the atmosphere of the song will immediately draw you into the action.
The whole album was recorded in the Shaark studio, the author of the music and lyrics is Lord Sezarbil: “We didn’t have time to rehearse this song at all, so it was actually created in the studio on the go. Everyone will find something in their text. You are already completely exhausted by what they put in your head, and you will eventually find that it has no value in what you believed … mirrors of vanity. Look behind the gates of the world of DARKNESS
The melodies of Rebel invite you to watch a new clip for the song Within Demons, the plot of which is carried on waves of mystery and paranormal. The band took care of the production together with Miroslav Lavický from Ninetytwo Production and Michal Hazuka from Rangepeak. Filming took place in the fortress in Golčov Jeníkov. In addition to the band members, the clip also featured the talented model Lucie Kuřátková, who played the main role of the medium. With this clip, Rebel concludes the era of the EP Trinity of Inspiration and is slowly preparing for a new album, which he is recording again in the Dark Chamber Sounds studio in Úpek in collaboration with Petri Kalli. This event is anticipated by the meaning of the title in Latin: “I hated you in the sepulchre”.

Ever since bursting onto the scene Nifrost has been an unstoppable force in the Viking/pagan black metal realms. The brand new album “Orkja” has been released recently and it’s still buring.
This stunning new single features very special guests like : Stian from Windir / Vreid, Espen from Mistur, Iver from Enslaved.
Nifrost on “Orkja Brotna” : “The song ‘Orkja brotna’ is the tale of the mountain ‘Orkja’ – a 948 meters steep and rocky mountain in Jölster (Norway) close to Lake Jölstra, the home-place of two of our band-members. The name of the mountain is taken from the shape of the mountain that resembles a coffin or an ark (‘Orkj’). The painter Nicolai Astrup has painted this mountain several times, and it is visible in the background in his painting ‘Marzmorgen’ (1920). This mountain is through the times known for its many avalanches, mud and rock slides, and great floods that has made a great mark on the people in this part of Norway. There is an old saying from Jölster that says when Orkja falls the world will go under. The mountain had a great significance to the local community, which also had a short recital they used to say:
Orkja brotnar (Orkja crashes down), Kjerkja flotnar (The church drowns), Sandneset forgår (Sandneset is swallowed), Men Øvr-åsen står – (But the high hills still stand).
This song speaks about the panic and fear the Might of Nature causes when it decides to release its powers, and we have seen the last few years and maybe even more this summer that we humans are powerless beings in the hands of Nature.”

Chaos Doctrine came down on the metal world like the hammer of Thor in February this year with a shredding track called Black Friday Bedlam, featuring Swedish Metal Legend Jörgen Sandström (Entombed, Grave, Torture Division, Krux, The Project Hate) on vocals. If you watched the lyric video, you would have caught a peek at the title and artwork of the band’s much anticipated second album now out called ‘And In The Beginning … They Lied’. Three years in the making since the band’s monstrous self-titled debut in 2018, ‘And In The Beginning … They Lied’ brings us nine new tracks (including Black Friday Bedlam and 2020’s Father Grigori) and a new level of maturity for the band. As is the case with Chaos Doctrine’s products to date, the new album is rife with symbolism. While ‘And In The Beginning … They Lied’ is by no means a concept album, its title and cover, together with its first two and last two tracks, line up perfectly to tell the album’s story.
Throughout history, the human race has been fed much destructive doctrine and had the truth deliberately hidden from it – all in the names of politics, of religion, of wealth and power. Ancient knowledge was burned at grand scale and relegated to mythology, and its proponents persecuted to near extinction. The result is that humanity is a species scarred with amnesia. We have giant gaps and anomalies in our conscious history caused by the suppression of the actual truth, which has severely stunted the progress of civilization in general.
Chaos Doctrine’s debut album painted Moses in front of a dystopic landscape, hinting at the ultimate result of blind obedience to doctrine. The band’s subsequent EP, “The Chaos Chronicles Volume I”, continued the theme by placing a modernized Baphomet in front of the Tower of Babel. The cover for ‘And In The Beginning … They Lied’ becomes the prequel to these tales to capture the album’s story graphically. At the center is a tree, a well-known symbol of the original sin, but also of knowledge. Within the tree is the great serpent – outcast as the heretic by some but revered by others as holy and wise. The tree and the snake intertwine with the human DNA sequence, placing a spotlight on our contested origins and purpose as a race. Finally, fading behind the tree are mechanized versions of the feathered serpent, widely interpreted as a dragon – god to some, demon to others.
The band also gives us four tracks to explore these themes.
Intro “And In the Beginning” kicks off the madness with monologues clearly set to interrogate. “Blood Serpent God” explores both familiar stories of human sacrifice in pre-Columbian South America, and the less familiar tale of how documented history was rendered myth. “Christ Church Horizon” spits hate at lie mongers abound, while outro “…They Lied” wraps up the album with the same rage that the intro started.
The remaining five tracks deviates charmingly from the album’s overall theme, without losing its aggressive edge. ‘And In The Beginning … They Lied’ and the new single “Blood Serpent God” will bring an evolution in Chaos Doctrine!

“Bob Katsionis announces STRAY GODS: his new band, heavily influenced by Iron Maiden!”
The brackets next to Bob Katsionis’ name, can tell a rather interesting story of a restless musician who has no boundaries; From his early days playing dark metal with NIGHTFALL, black metal with SEPTIC FLESH, to the glitter-covered AOR heroes OUTLOUD, the German power-metallers SERIOUS BLACK, his 15 years alongside Gus G. in FIREWIND, as a guest songwriter in KAMELOT, his recent work in the underground sensation of WARRIOR PATH and of course 6 instrumental solo albums in between, Bob has always been a highly productive force in the arsenal of rising Greek Heavy Metal scene.
STRAY GODS is his new endeavor, heavily inspired by his love for Iron Maiden, and their debut album is ready to storm your speakers!
“The beginning of 2020 found me “band-less” for the first time since I ever started playing the guitar, back in 1992. This was an extraordinary feeling as I felt that I didn’t have to make music for a specific band or project; instead, I could just write whatever I felt like I wanted to write.
During the first months of the pandemic, I released a 16-bit video game fictional soundtrack, built my new studio, and worked on the new album of Warrior Path. There was finally so much time in my hands and so much inspiration. During the “Great Second Global Lockdown” on December 2020, I just got my Fender guitar, plugged it on my Marshall, and started writing some songs in an Iron Maiden style, just for the fun of it. One week later, there was enough material for a full album. Then I realized that this had to become something more significant and that I needed to find other mega-Iron Maiden fans to creatively input on this project.
The first choice was Thanos Pappas, the drummer of Scar Of The Sun, who also runs URIZEN, Greece’s first and only Bruce Dickinson Tribute Band!
Then another obvious choice was bassist Gus Macricostas who now lives in the UK and plays in the solo band of Biff Byford. We played together back in 2002 in Casus Belli, and I always knew how big a fan of Steve Harris was.
As for the vocals, that was a bit harder. The obvious choice was some Youtube Bruce Dickinson-soundalikes, but I needed something more professional. Then came my friend Dan Baune, guitarist of UK-based band MONUMENT who -apart from playing some guest solos in the album- suggested Artur Almeida of Portuguese NWOBHM-style band, Attick Demons. He was a total pro and a great person as well. I’m more than happy with the result and can’t wait until you guys hear what we have to offer!
I’ve been an Iron Maiden and Heavy Metal fan since one evening of 1988 when I watched “Can I Play With Madness” on MTV. This album is a big “Thank You” to this band who influenced my future and course of life, and also one of the most sincere music releases I have ever done.”
The debut album of STRAY GODS will be out in September from SYMMETRIC RECORDS.

Hurricane On Saturn is a new project launched in 2019 by Italian musicians coming from various genres called Dakm, Maydx, Antares, Rastaban and Marakk. The proposal out of any classification is based on a unique use of electronics combined with rock, rap, post-hardcore and crossover influences.
They released their first album “KILLING FIELD” on 13th November 2020 on all digital stores together with the official video from the title track on the band’s YouTube channel.

Derade released new single
English Baroque Metal band Derade released their new single «Take Your Soul». The single was remotely recorded at Guy Radford and Richard Lee homes in Cambridgeshire and South West London. It was mixed by Guy Radford and mastered at “Parlour Studios” by Neil Haynes.
Derade was formed in 2017 at Huntingdon, England by Guy Radford (guitar) and Mark Radford (guitar). Later Richard Lee (vocals) joined the band and the lineup was completed.

Grande Fox on February 19, 2021 presented the “Empty nest”. It is the second full-length album and fourth release for the four-member Space Psychedelic Stoner Heavy Rock band from Thessaloniki.
Following the release of their debut album “Space Nest” (2016), EP “Kulning” (2018) and the single “Documento” (2019), “Empty nest” contains 11 new songs, with “Hangman” and “Manganite ”to have already stood out.
The “Empty nest” also includes the song “Rottenness of Youth”.
The song refers to the rot that characterizes youth today. Here the position of expression is in an ego which has awakened and refuses to follow the common currents. He opposes the defeatism of the individual and makes his position clear by spitting in the face all this sick condition in which the young people of our society are swamped.
Rottenness of Youth is the second song of the Album ’’Empty Nest’’. Three elements that characterize the sound and the style of this track are riffs, grunge vibes and the intense feeling of anger. Τhe lyrics refer to today’s rottenness and express refusal to follow these common currents of the sick state of society.

When he started writing material for IMMORTALIZER he wanted to create something original but that still had a vintage feel to it. His aim is not to copy what’s already been done but rather to contribute something fresh and entertaining.
He is preparing stuff for his upcoming full-length album. Recently he released the single “Lemmy” and nod he presents another one new single titled “I’m Gone”.
Lasting Maze releases “lockdown sessions” video of “Thunder”
Brazilian melodic metal LASTING MAZE performed on April 24th at Festival Desérticas II, where they released their second EP, “Thunder“.
Vocalist Grazy Mesquita commented on the event: “We were looking for the right date to release our new EP “Thunder”, and the festival festival gave us an excellent opportunity to do it. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we produced a great audiovisual content for the festival that was shown in a pre-recorded format, those were the videos from the ‘Lockdown Sessions’ version of the songs ‘Thunder’, ‘Kosmos’ and ‘Destiny (Carry On)’, all songs belonging are taken from our new EP.
We had a wonderful team to produce these videos, Tiago Bampa was responsible for the location and filming, he is a partner who has been producing our videos for a long time and always delivers an impeccable job. Polly Freitas and Adrienny RosWin were responsible for makeup and costumes. For each video there was a change of costumes and special makeup, which brought characteristics and elements of the themes of the songs, they did a sensational work that was highly praised. We, Lasting Maze members, did our best playing and performing the songs for the videos, it was amazing to see that the final result of our efforts was highly praised by the festival audience. It was amazing to be able to play alongside so many inspiring bands, fronted by strong women, and to see a local festival receiving this notoriety made us all very proud”.

Devine Defilement released new single
Icelandic Death Metal band Devine Defilement released their new single «Psuedopsychotic Possession». The single was written and recorded during the Covid-19 pandemic and tells the story of Michael Taylor, who murdered his wife after an exorcism by the local pastors. It was recorded at “L87 Studio” by Guitarist Snorri Björnsson, mix and mastering by Haukur Hannes, and artwork by Andkill Art.
Devine Defilement was formed in 2016 at Reykjavík, Iceland by Arni Hoffritz (Guitar) and Stefán Friðriksson (drums). The band released their debut album “Obliviora” in 2019 and toured Iceland. In March 2020 the band released their new EP “Primitive Gospel” that presented the band new vocalist Ingólfur Ólafsson that joined the band in 2019.

Brazilian Thrashers of EMBRIO, which throughout the pandemic have been releasing video re-recordings of old songs from their career in Lockdown Sessions format, published today on their official YouTube channel the re-recording of the track “This Flame”, the band’s first official composition and released on the 2008 debut album “Prophets Of Doom”.
“As we are in the same boat as practically all bands today, stopped and without shows due to the pandemic, we are taking advantage of the time and re-recording older material with the current formation of the band in a series of videos at the same time that we are working on new material to our new album. Witches Town releases “Scream In The Silence” video inspired by night terror
Brazilian WITCHES TOWN was formed in 2018 by Bruno Baldessari, having as influences some of the metal legends like JUDAS PRIEST, RUNNING WILD and DEATH. For this journey of playing a death metal inspired heavy metal he recruited guitarist Vinicius Henrique, bassist Wellington Conte and drummer Rafael Rau. Established as a quartet, the band spent the years 2019 and 2020 recording their first album, “Black Pestilence”, which will be released in the coming months. About the recording process, frontman Bruno Baldessari commented: “It was very gratifying working on this album with Rafael Rau, who besides being our drummer, was also behind the the mix of the album, I could not expect a better result”.

To promote the album, WITCHES TOWN just released a video for their first single, “Scream In The Silence”. Recorded by Neves Films, using a forest in the city of Gaspar as a location, the result, according to the band, could not be better, “the work with Neves Films was very interesting, they understood our proposal very well, despite us being the first metal band they worked with. We sent them the ideas and references, which were well received and put forth by them”, added the band. About the song, vocalist and guitarist Bruno Baldessari explained: “This track presents a narrative, in which the main character suffers from night terror, on this occasion something different happened. During a cold night, when the candles had reached their end, he noticed a shadow watching from the darkness, an entity that wants to take him, feeding from his despair, following a night that seemed to have no end.”

ZUMBI – single “GO DEEP” from upcoming album “AHEAD OF TIME”
Years later, Dimitri, Jerry, and Jason started a band together named Zumbi. Their love of electronic music was just starting to hit the scene and it became really big in all the hottest clubs. They loved trip-hop/electronic, alternative and downtempo music.
They signed with New Dream Records and are speaking to them about touring. On April 15th, 2021 will release their new album titled “AHEAD OF TIME”.
The album talks about “Go Deep” we don’t communicate anymore, “Make you think” prostitution, “Follow the Leader” politics,
“25 fires” black church fires in 90’s south, “Desert Flower” female genitalia mutilation in Africa just some the lyrics.

Dargor released new Satyricon cover
Polish Black Metal band Dargor released their new Satyricon cover «The Wolfpack». The release was recorded in 2020 at “Regnat Audio Studio” and “Kancho Records studio”, mixed/mastered by Adrian Jarosz.
Dargor was formed in 2017 as a one-man project at Krosno, Poland by Michal Kustra. Having a dream about creating music with inspirations from bands like Samael, Ajattara and Dimmu Borgir. In 2018 the band released the first single “Hellfire”, and in 2020 Damian Muszyński (bass/vocal) Michał Socha (rhythm guitar) and Maciej Socha (drums) joined the band and the lineup was completed. The band released their debut EP «Descent Into Chaos» on 01 April 2021.
Lasting Maze: a reflection on fear with “Thunder” EP release
Brazilian melodic metal LASTING MAZE was formed back in 2014. Composing songs about the human mind, psychology, science, movies, games, as well as human feelings, the group formed by Grazy Mesquita (vocals), Pedro Anselmo (guitars), Isaac Barros (bass) and Mick Souza (drums) worked hard despite the delay caused by coronavirus pandemic, releasing singles, videos and playing online festivals while finishing their new effort, a follow-up to 2016’s “Silent Spring” EP. April 23rd marks the end of this wait with the release of “Thunder” EP, an effort which shows LASTING MAZE’s new approach and maturity, presenting a positive message to fans, showing that it is possible to face your fears and challenges with patience, wisdom and holding your head high.
Singer Grazy Mesquita says about the EP:
“‘Thunder’ brings an energetic and positive atmosphere, making a reflection on fear, a normal feeling, but one that can imprison the human mind. In order to face fear, it’s necessary to understand it, question it and map it, then you are be able to move on. The songs propose that it is possible to face all adversities without placing yourself in a victim position, understanding your place as an individual, empowering yourself and facing obstacles with vigor, wisdom, patience and holding your head high.”
The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Daniel Tavares, at Nevada Studio. The artwork was made by Wesley Souza and shows elements that represent all the songs of the EP: Thunder, empowerment, the Cosmos, the search to achieve what is desired. Above all, the artwork conveys a stormy and dark atmosphere, representing the countless adversities that we face, but it also conveys serenity and strength through the features of the character. All these elements result in a beautiful masterpiece that sets the atmosphere of “Thunder” EP.

VANENO is the outcome of a journey that started in 2017 with the band’s humble beginnings of three friends that wanted to jam together. Miguel Nunes (Drums), Eduardo Cunha (Guitar) and António Tavares (Guitar). The need to add new layers to the sound ended up in a search for a bass player and so Pedro Fernandes (Bass) joined the band. It was up until Fall 2019 that the band’s 5 element lineup was closed with the arrival of Alexandre Fernandes to handle the vocal duties. “Struggle Through Absurdity” marks the debut EP for the Portuguese band. The sonic identity consists of strong Sludge influences, mixed with elements reminiscent of Stoner and even some that may at brief times fall under the Doom and Death territory. “Struggle Through Absurdity” was co-produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Pedro Mau (Kneel, Wells Valley) at SinWav Audio and it was released on 27th November 2020 via Raging Planet. In EP “Struggle Through Absurdity” is included the song titled “Nightrider”. Recently they release the Official video of the song also.

Onism is a darkwave music project that was created by Lupe and Luna on February 2020, as the attempt of two people to express the realization that we, as human beings, are finite. Lupe and Luna were born in Athens, Greece. They are both trained singers and vocal coaches and they also play the piano. Lupe has released his first album called “Burn” and is the lead singer of the gothic rock band Mosquito. Onism’s debut release is the “Leyes” EP, which contains four songs and is already released in digital format. All songs were created and recorded by Lupe and Luna at the ML Studio.
Recently they released their singles titled “The Sound Of Us” and “Past Internal”. Now they are presenting their new song titled “Heartbeat”.

Inspired by the ancient Mayans’ concept of “zero”- something that, while almost inherent in our understanding of the world today, was revolutionary up until as recent as a few thousand years ago. Depicted as a crude symbol, it would be used to indicate an absence. Nothing! We see the emptiness, the formless void, and the things waiting in it to awaken again. They are cold and indifferent to human life and we are just play-things to them. Seeing how they subtly influence mankind in different ways, for example the murder ballad ‘Cold Black’ and the tale of the the grave robber in ‘The Resurrectionist’. They influence humans and humans in return worship death and through death the outer things are given power in this dimension. This theme is expanded on in ‘Rot With Me’ which is about the dead rising and taking over. The others are more direct, in that they describe what will happen once the forces of the beyond break through into our plane of existence. ‘When God Blinks’, ‘Enter Chaos’ and ‘Bleached Bone’ all illustrate the various Eldritch horrors awaiting mankind, while The Great Unclean is what becomes of humanity eventually as civilisation collapses and a new perversion of religion comes into being. Tying back into the worship of death and decay with the cycle of corruption being complete. They were and are The First Nothing, the shapeless, twisted things lurking in the dark heart of the mind. They are nameless, they are eternal! The album consists of 7 tracks, produced, mixed, and mastered by Damian Buys.

Having discovered a mutual love of Dark Fantasy, Cosmic and Eldritch horror, and of course sharing the same influences musically, encompassing a range of bands and genres from Death Metal, Groove Metal, Tech Death and many others, A Nameless Dread was formed. Having had the desire to create something new after leaving their previous bands, Rhett, Damian and Tim formed A Nameless Dread in early 2019. Des joined on drums shortly after, and the four were complete. The synergy and energy in the studio, practice space and stage was tangible. The main focus was to form a band where each member is fully involved in the band’s vision, and making the kind of extreme music that each one loves to play.
A Nameless Dread strives to make bone crushing extreme metal with substance and theatricality, both during their live performance, and in the studio. Dread aims to create something unique and haunting, something that lives in between the spaces of the normal, in the dark gaps of the imagination. A feeling the audience is fascinated and unsettled by at the same time. With Damian writing the riffs, Tim’s huge bass lines, Des’ crushing drumming and Rhett taking care of the lyrics, the band completed and launched their debut album The First Nothing in October 2020 to critical acclaim!
The first single off the album, Rot With Me, made its on air debut for France the Planet’s Southern African Metal Madness Week (August 2020) on Burg Studio’s Radio, accumulating the most votes for the week! The First Nothing was awarded the 14th slot on the World Of Metal Best Death Metal Albums of 2020 and represented South Africa at the World Of Metal First Online Festival in February 2021.

Social Scream – new album “From Ashes To Hope” (Released on January 15th 2021 by Soman Records)
On January 15th of 2021, a double cd collection entitled “From Ashes To Hope” WAS released in digital format and on 1st April will be out in psychical cd by Soman Records, containing re-recorded versions of old demos and tracks of the first two band’s albums. Hurricane On Saturn is a new project launched in 2019 by Italian musicians coming from various genres called Dakm, Maydx, Antares, Rastaban and Marakk. The proposal out of any classification is based on a unique use of electronics combined with rock, rap, post-hardcore and crossover influences.
They released their first album “KILLING FIELD” on 13th November 2020 on all digital stores together with the official video from the title track on the band’s youtube channel.
At the moment Hurricane On Saturn is working on new singles to be published in the next months and the first title “OUTSIDER” has been released on 13th March 2021. The song mixed by Matt Dougherty exceptionally sees the drums performed by Dakm.

Onism is a darkwave music project that was created by Lupe and Luna on February 2020, as the attempt of two people to express the realization that we, as human beings, are finite. Lupe and Luna were born in Athens, Greece. They are both trained singers and vocal coaches and they also play the piano. Lupe has released his first album called “Burn” and is the lead singer of the gothic rock band Mosquito. Onism’s debut release is the “Leyes” EP, which contains four songs and is already released in digital format. All songs were created and recorded by Lupe and Luna at the ML Studio. Vindictive Regeneration was formed in 2020 at Calgary, Alberta by Paul E. Messier (vocal/guitar), Jeffrey Kohld Kelly (bass) and David Lanas (drums). The band’s debut album tells a story of a man with schizophrenia in the post apocalypse who receives a vision that the world he lives in is digital and can end it by going to a control center and entering a code to emit a frequency that will free everyone from the digital reality.

Deciding it needed a logo to make it more recognizable, he found the awen symbol which means creativity. After some changes the current line-up are: Denny Anthony-vocals, Greg Wenk-guitar, Geno Alberico-bass, Mark Zonder-drums
In March of 2020, Veritas signed a deal with Amplified for worldwide distribution of their first full length cd in physical and digital formats. The cd has 14 tracks and was mixed by Daryl Bolicek at Wild Horse Recording in Minnesota and mastered by Thomas Juth at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Sweden. The cd released on August 28th, 2020 worldwide and has already received great reviews from Germany, Sweden, USA, Poland.

Two years have passed since the self-titled debut of Warrior Path that hit the world’s Underground Metal scene like the Hammer of Thor, getting everything from raving reviews to scoring the highest ranks on various “Album Of The Year” lists.
Continuing their journey, main-man and songwriter Andreas Sinanoglou and musician/producer Bob Katsionis (Firewind/Outloud/Serious Black) along with drummer Dave Rundle, are coming back with another epic tale, the tale of “The Mad King”.
This time they are joined by one of the most legendary singers in the history of Power Metal, Swedish vocal phenomenon Daniel Heiman (Lost Horizon) taking the torch from Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast In Black).
“The Mad King” will be released in deluxe digipak CD via Symmetric Records and in Gatefold Vinyl by Ikaros Records, along with a Special Box-Set bundle.

IMMORTALIZER is the personal project of Dave D.R. a multi-instrumentalist recording artist and performer from Ontario Canada.
He has influences from Heavy Metal and Rock pioneers like Motorhead, Judas Priest, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Primal Fear, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Van Halen, Thin Lizzy. Etc, but he has always tried his best to create new and exciting music. When he started writing material for IMMORTALIZER he wanted to create something original but that still had a vintage feel to it. His aim is not to copy what’s already been done but rather to contribute something fresh and entertaining.
Recently he released the single “Lemmy” and preparing for his upcoming full-length album.

Giannis Apostolidis – albums “Eastern Wind” and “The turning point” by Spider Music…
Ioannis Apostolidis was born in 1993, in Thessaloniki. His father was a bassist and his godfather a guitarist for the famous Greek metal band “VAVEL”, which acted in the decades “80 – 90”, Giannis since he was a baby, he had many sounds of various bands and artists. His love for music composition and history at the same time, in the depths of time due to his origin and experiences, influenced him to start composing music for historical events and happenings of different chronological periods of Greek history! Giannis Apostolidis from June 2018 belongs to the roaster of Spider Music. He released two albums, titled “Eastern Wind” and “The turning point”.

SILENT WINTER – “Gates of Fire” lyric video, from upcoming album “Empire of Sins”.
The Greek power metallers from Thessaly, Silent Winter, released the first lyric video from their long-awaited upcoming new album “Empire of Sins” for the track “Gates of Fire”. The video was created by Harry Kountouris, who was also responsible for the equally excellent video for the song “Nightfall”, which Silent Winter released a year ago. The band’s new album will be released on March 26th, 2021 by the German label Pride and Joy. The album includes 8 tracks plus an adaptation of the massive pop-hit of the 80’s “Leave a Light On” by Belinda Carlisle. The “Empire of Sins” album was produced by Dionysis Christodoulatos. The recordings took place at Kalovidouris Sound and Light Rec. Studio in Volos (guitars, bass, drums), while the vocals, the final mix and master took place at CNF Recordings Studio in Athens.

Thrash HardCore band ANGUERE released their newest release on their YouTube channel, the official video for the track ‘You Don’t Know Where I Came’ from the EP ‘Punishment’ released in February 2020!
The video was recorded in a neighborhood on the outskirts of the city of Rio Claro-SP, with the intention of showing a little bit of where they live and live with the family in their daily lives! The lyrics are focused on and describe the situation of friends and partners who find themselves frustrated in not being able to get out of the statistics that governments place us in society.
The video was directed and edited by Otavio Silva (Bllod Pyramid), script and general production were made by the band ANGUERE! Simple and direct, like a ride in the jungle!

Onism is a darkwave music project that was created by Lupe and Luna on February 2020, as the attempt of two people to express the realization that we, as human beings, are finite. Lupe and Luna were born in Athens, Greece. They are both trained singers and vocal coaches and they also play the piano. Lupe has released his first album called “Burn” and is the lead singer of the gothic rock band Mosquito. Onism’s debut release is the “Leyes” EP, which contains four songs and is already released in digital format. All songs were created and recorded by Lupe and Luna at the ML Studio.

Social Scream is a Heavy Metal band from Sparta/Greece formed in 2008.They have already released three full-length albums.
On January 15th of 2021, a double cd collection entitled “From Ashes To Hope” WAS released in digital format and on 1st April will be out in psychical cd by Soman Records, containing re-recorded versions of old demos and tracks of the first two band’s albums. The recordings took place at Think Recording Studios and Dimons Studios. The album was produced by Dimitris Sakkas and the artwork was created by Giannis Stergiou and dtopgraphics.
On “From Ashes To Hope” is included the song ”Initiation To The Myths”.

This time they are joined by one of the most legendary singers in the history of Power Metal, Swedish vocal phenomenon Daniel Heiman (Lost Horizon) taking the torch from Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast In Black). Musically, the band seems to have evolved in all aspects, leaving the obvious influences and forging their own sound: The excessive number of ballads of the debut gave its place to furious songs, the Iron Maiden-ish twin harmonies became epic metal riffs, while the production itself is “warmer” and even louder and punchier than the one of their debut. Still,the influences vary from Riot, Heaven’s Gate and Scanner to Crimson Glory and early Queensryche. According to main songwriter of the band, Andreas: “
Every time I’m writing music, I always do it having a full album in my head. My vocal lines always reflect a particular style of singing. Yannis was fitting perfectly the songs I had composed for our debut due to his lyrical and melodic approach and we were more than happy with the final result. But for our sophomore album, I realised there was a more epic, tense and generally “darker” atmosphere and to my mind there was no-one else than Daniel to do it. We knew it would be hard to find him, didn’t know if he would be interested in doing it, given that he is very picky on the stuff he puts his voice on, but in the end it all worked out pretty well, he is a total pro and we’re glad he did go that extra mile to make the album sound as it does.”
Daniel Heiman quotes:” After interesting discussions with the band members and since we agreed very quickly on all levels, I knew it would be an awesome collaboration and when I heard the new music I was blown away.

“The Mad King” was recorded during the first pandemic “Global Lockdown” in the new Sound Symmetry Studio of Bob Katsionis in Athens, Greece and analog-mastered once more by Nasos Nomikos at VU, Productions in Piraeus, Greece. For the magnificent cover artwork, the band once again worked with Bulgarian artist Dimitar Nikolov bringing to life a scene from the Palace of the Mad King as told in the title track of the album. “The Mad King” will be released in deluxe digipak CD via Symmetric Records and in Gatefold Vinyl by Ikaros Records, along with a Special Box-Set bundle. To release “To the End” on March 26th / cover artwork revealed
The band comment:
“We are really chuffed to be collaborating with Dan, his vision and interpretation of ideas are totally unique and its fantastic to be involved in the creative process with him – seeing the ideas that we have transformed into stunning images that we are proud to have as artwork for our albums. His style is second to none, so much so that using any other artist at this point would seem like a compromise; his attention to detail is incredible. To The End is the first album of this trilogy and features the events that led up to the scenes depicted on our first album, For the Fallen. The art shows the king leading his troops into the last battle in which he was killed. It looks bloody killer.”
Seagrave elaborates:
“In this moment we’re capturing the dawn of the onslaught of the city; visible from the industrial outskirts, as the forces descend with a pincer movement into the valley, spreading destruction towards their goal.
The king character to me at this stage has become something of a creature – beyond human. There is an elemental shift in its DNA and a detachment of its ordinary senses. Held together by earthly materials, I feel its presence brings with it a surrealistic sickness that affects the immediate environment and those who tread within its boundaries.
“My aesthetic look of this was to combine the retro military tech of the early 20th century with the memory of renaissance times art. For example, tanks that have bas relief sculpture, and inventions such as the flying wingsuit – a metallic armoured vehicle contraption worn by the foreground figure. There’s less of a literal darkness in the depiction. Here there seems to be a permeating flow of dust particles, like a concocting mist of specular ice and grey concrete. The dawn of a bright day reacting with it, both illuminating and deadly.”
Onwards into battle, one more time… In the two years since MEMORIAM released Requiem For Mankind, the band haven’t rested on their laurels.Their fourth studio album,To The End is due for release on March 26 via Reaper Entertainment.
Marking the beginning of a second trilogy of albums, To The End serves as something of a prologue to the first three MEMORIAM albums. Working backwards and narrating the life story of the leader whose demise was depicted in the first trilogy, the lyrics on the album may play out in a fictional realm, but they incorporate inspiration from real life. A central theme of war is coloured with political fulminations and everyday experiences that combine to create a cohesive and enthralling chronicle. The four-piece returned to producer, Russ Russell, for the recording of To The End. For the first time, the band demoed the songs and entered the studio with a new level of preparedness. Coupled with their close relationship with Russell, this created an environment that allowed for greater experimentation, as demonstrated by the diverse array of textures and sounds present on the nine tracks on the album.
From the earliest days of the band, they had their eye on the art Dan Seagrave (Benediction, Dismember, Hypocrisy, Suffocation etc) as an accompaniment to their music. Having created the artwork for the first three MEMORIAM albums, he has also created the cover for To The End.

Finnish melodic metal band EVIL DRIVE strikes back again! On their 3rd upcoming album they present themselves more powerful and with major musical and technical improvements.
